Barn Burning

Barn Burning is a short story written by William Faulkner. The plot is portrayed in the form of a third-person narrative. A young child who is the son of one of the main characters sheds light on the events that occur in the story. Speaking about the themes that are highlighted in the book, we should mention the following: search of peace, conflicts between people of different classes, family loyalty and the influence of fathers.

Despite the fact that it is just a short story, it raises a lot of problems which are hotly discussed even nowadays. As a result, students are asked to write a paper dealing with this topic. When you've also got the same assignment, keep in mind that you are supposed to unravel the topic and explore those themes which you consider to be of major importance. In order to do that, you'll have to mull over each issue a lot or even rethink something. Sometimes the ability to look at an issue from a different angle can be really helpful. So, try to be objective and write without bias. Provide as many interpretations as possible.
