Hispanic American Diversity There argon many Hispanic sorts within the United States. Politically Mexican Americans were very active in the Mexican American Civil Rights movement. The Mexican immigrant community was created in Kansas metropolis between 1890-1930 by Valerie Marie Mendoza. Reies Lopez Tijerina and the land grant movement, is picked up by Rodolfo Corky Gonzales in Denver who defines the meaning of Chicano through his heroic poem I am Joaquin, embraces Cesar Chavez and the farm workers (ALBANY.EDU, 2000, 2001).
