One of Jane Addams main ideas was that working women where treated unfairly. That for a woman working in a male dominant personal line of credit world, it is hard and unjust. There was a lot of family and societal claims passing on for a women who was working. That a woman was meant to stay at home and take care of her family, and not be out working. Feminism was strongly going around, and the stereotype of a womans come in is in the kitchen was used heavily. She cogitated that women need to define themselves in the mode that they valued to be imposen, and not in the way that the family and social claims made them out to be. Though she did want change, she did not believe in strikes and violent movement, for she saw them as destructive and ill fated.
Jane Addams advocated a number of laws that she saw fit to help return not only women workers, but the male workers also. She wanted to meliorate the workplace for women in hopes of them to be treated with the same gaze and fairness as a working man has. She wanted long term change for the working woman, something that would last, not a short term contract that would only be in effect for a few years. She wanted change that would be permanent. She believed that all women where vital to ball club, that all women contribute to communities.
