Good afternoon in my beloved homeland of Spain. I hope this letter will find you in proper health in the year of our Lord fifteen hundred. As you might know I left my home in Spain with a deepened pain in my heart and boarded a enthral that went east. It was a long and stark journey and many of us died but as Im strong and red-blooded I made the journey in vertical spirit, set my faith into Gods caring hands.
After a few weeks we came across a beautiful island called Hispaniola. On this island lives a beautiful tribe called the Arawaks. They incur long black vibrissa and golden brown skin; their heads have a pointy touch to it which they think represents beauty. They ar plump and lazy not hard working as we are back home in Spain. They are in truth humble and they dont steal. Im sure we can make good Christians of them. We have also come across another tribe called the Caribs and they are cannibals.
I have seen with my own eyes how they have eaten humane flesh and this has to stop at once, its not very Christian to eat your fellow man. They also take their two-year-old children away from their mothers when they are four years of age to make out warriors, except for a few exceptions where boys are going to be trained as priests. They are a very angered people and we have to do something about it. So consequently as they seem healthy and intelligent they would make good slaves, and as they are cannibals, we cant make Christians out of them!
