There were many positives and negatives for blacks in the Reconstruction. One positive was that they got their freedom. This assail equal up many other positive events for them. Blacks were now able to leave what use to be their master during slavery, and go give away and seize jobs elsewhere. They were no longer bound as slaves, to get beaten everyday, and to be treated poorly. This allowed them to start families also. “Everyone went wild. We felt bid heroes. We was free.” was stated by Felix Haywood after blacks received their freedom. They felt akin a lot was accomplished. They could do so much more than with there lives. Rich like the whites was what closely blacks dreamed of when they were free. This is where the negatives came into play. nearly blacks weren’t able to get rich. In fact most starved to death in search of jobs and land. Warren McKinney stated, “ somewhat a thousand would all meet up and base on balls goin to hunt for work and new homes”. Although blacks were free to do as they will to get jobs and start new lives, things didn’t continuously work for them. Most ended up back to where they came from as slaves, working for their old masters doing the same thing they use to.



Because of the end of slavery, the Ku Klux Klan was a new organization made up by racist whites. This cause many problems for blacks. This group attribute fear into the blacks so they wouldn’t do anything they didn’t pauperism them to do. Which in a way kept them as slaves to an extent. afterwards going through the positives and negatives of the Reconstruction Period, I still moot it was a success. Blacks got their freedom in a way which target to further success down the road. They started getting their citizenship and was allowed to vote. Look at where America is today.
