When wintertime approached, he had to decide where to place us for the winter. The main member of the army he decided to place in New island of Jersey, near the village of Middlebrook in Somerset County, where they could move to nurture New Jersey, threaten New York and Staten Island, and quickly re-enforce the Highlands.
