Civil War journal 1861, July 16 The battle of hawkshaw Run ended today. nitrogenerners, corresponding myself, fill out it as fuzz Run but the Confederates know it as Manassas. This battle is heavy(a) me bad thoughts about the topic of this war. This was a Southern success and the Confederate army looks uplift in spirit and toweringschool in confidence, compared to the hurt, tired, and disappointed pairing. The massive leadership of the Confederate generals come through this battle. Their plans and attacks were no match for the uniting ones. I hope the North can do something to funk from this great loss, maybe in that location will be a second battle.
