Some say that an image is worth a thousand words. It is arguable that one thousand is far in both case little as a single image has the precedent to evoke decades of history and dozens of personal stories. The viewing of a single image can be a initiation for one person or a collective corporations memory while simultaneously adding a new layer to the images original meaning. For me, the image of a sunflower describes my childhood and the person I was in respective(a) shipway. Like a sunflower I was unnaturally tall, irrepressibly upbeat (though motionless, these plants seem cheery), and tended to ignore bad things, preferably turning towards the sun or positive things in life.
Sunflowers, the case plant of Ukraine, were used during Chernobyl to clean up toxic countervail and one could say that I took a similar subprogram in my family and among my friends. Allergic to conflict, I was a true Libra, a constant mediator who took great lengths to stay out of any kind of trouble and prevent fights. All this is to say that in this one flower, the history of who I was and in some ways still am, is captured, revealing my personality, fears and attributes alike. The sunflower pushes me to change, to not only stomach the person I am already, but to strive to purify myself, and all because of one simple image.
